Wow, we used to go … Wow, we used to go to every show (early and late) of every night they played at the Academy of Music in NYC. Saw some great and not so great shows but all were epic. This is one of the best.
Wow. What a … Wow. What a masterpiece. The tapestry they weaved is just timeless. The real beauty? This was all done with real musicians playing real music. No effects, no guitars screaming. Just ed good music. Impressive.
My dad had the On … My dad had the On The Road album in his collection. One day I popped that onto the turntable and began to listen…”Low Sparks” (which ran about 15 minutes, I think) was the standout. I played it about 8 times in a row!!! And it never got old! What am I saying? It’ll NEVER get old. We also had the album with “Walkin’ In The Wind” on it (the name of it escapes me at the moment). Big shoutouts for the post from a “brother” from Detroit!
If I gave you … If I gave you everything that I owned and asked for nothing in return….would you do the same for me as I would for you?
Or take me for a ride, and strip me of everything including my pride,
But spirit is something no one can destroy…
To Chanel163, what … To Chanel163, what a rude and crude comment to post. If you like the song or one or more the band members say so. Either you are very young, stupid or just don’t have any manners. In my opinion, (not that it matters to you or anyone else), if you want to post those kind of remarks, find yourself a good sight and have at it!
Sorry about my … Sorry about my wording of my last post, what I meant was that during his years with Spencer Davis everyone thought he was Black because of his voice….again, no offence to anyone…….I just lost my youngest son in car accident 2 weeks ago….and my mind what little I have left of it) isn’t really here
Yes, he was with … Yes, he was with Spencer Davis, but at that time no one knew who he was and that that he was Black……no offence to anyone, even I didn’t know….but still loved them anyway
pewsterbaby– … pewsterbaby–seriously? That is the best comment I have ever gotten back from anyone. I can relate to the past abuse with alcohol for sure–feels good to break through that stuff and all the family BS and finally move on in life, doesn’t it? Very good to hear from you. I will look you up when I visit NYC soon, my friend.
FANTASTIC comment. … FANTASTIC comment. I’ve read thousands, and yours is in my top five faves. Because you made me FEEL something I didn’t expect. Btw, I pull this lifestyle off in NYC. Visual appearance of the theme, and past substance abuse problem. Thank God we came through. Life is so sweet today, and your comment? I feel you man…..
Chris Wood was … Chris Wood was using a multi effects unit made by Chicago Musical Industries. It was called the Maestro Woodwind Sound System along with the Maestro Boomerang Wah. His sax sounded so groovy. May he rest in peace.
if he really was … if he really was embarrassed about traffic…to bad, too sad for him. this is great music. tell him to apply for social security and shut up!

I didn’t really …
I didn’t really care for Steve Windwood’s solo stuff from the eighties. I liked him better when he was in Traffic.
