are suede knee high boots approprate for formal teen dance?

rotc dance in 1 day. Have black velvet, gold metalic trimmed victorian style jacket with valance. Have gold metalic skinny pants. Could she wear black suede flat heeled knee boots, or what shoes?

well, if not for the dance, then for after-the-dance if ya know what i mean!

    The suede boots might be ok but not with gold metalic skinny pants! I mean I havnt seen the outfit but it sounds pretty out there.

    yah that sounds really nice..the skinny pants will definately tone down the boots so that they are perfectly acceptable for the dance.
