Are these shoes allowed in nightclubs, if not what should I get?

Saturday, December 10th, 2011

I use to be a professional hardstyle shuffler dancing in clubs, parties & raves; so pretty much part of The Industry. Because of that, I was allowed to get into pretty much any clubs even into those that does not allow tennis shoes. Now i just moved into Las Vegas & invited to a club DJ’s birthday party but not sure what the rules are when it comes to shoes. I found these to be fine as far as my own common sense / judgement goes, what do you think? Please View This Picture: http://www.orangeclubwear.com/servlet/the-1433/gothic-punk-flats-discounted/Detail

If its no good, Please help me, I am open to any suggestion but please dont suggest high heels or stilletos.
The main point / factor that i’m looking for is NOT for Looks or whether you like it or not – I just need shoes that are:
1. Allowed in Nightclubs in Vegas (so NO Tennis Shoes)
2. Comfortable to dance hardcore / hardstyle techno (Tennis Shoes: Not Allowed)

Sorry, but I don’t like those.Try

How can I get sponsored? (Skateboarding)?

Saturday, September 17th, 2011

Hi I’m looking to get sponsored. In a sense, I know "how" to get sponsored. I just need to know, how skilled do i have to be? See, I don’t want a huge pro or am sponsor, Im not NEARLY good enough for that. I know kids at my school that have like "partial" sponsors. Meaning, they get recognized by small, local skate brands and get they’re products at a discount or sometimes free. So, if i wanted to get this kind of sponsor, what kind of stuff would i need to do? Right now, i don’t think I’m good enough. Here’s the extent of what i can do:
-Ollies, Very clean and high, can do them down ledges and at most, 4 sets. Decent fakie.
-FS front side ollies. Can do them down Some ledges and maybe a 3 set. Sketchy fakie.
-BS pop shuvits Depends on what luck i’m having. Sometimes pretty decent sometimes not. Doing them down ledges or stairs might be a bit risky.
-Heelflips, Naturally more talented at heel flips than kickflips. Ummm… About A 50-50 chance of landing.
As far as vert goes (much better on smaller ramps) I can rock to fakie, tail stall, 5-0 stall, rock to revert, sometimes truck stall.
So, what would i need to work on to get sponsored?
Oh yeah, I can also ollie off a 2 foot high mini ramp.

Grab a bunch of friends with a GOOD video camera and maybe a good regular camera too. Then decide what you wanna go for (I personally love enjoi). Get your friends to film you doing what you listed and make sure you do it right. Then send all the photos and videos to whomever you want to go for. If they like you, they’ll likely send someone out to see you in person. Maybe even another sponsor skater.

Also, try doing things that actually stand out, such as doing an extremely long grind or if your a psycho go off a huge ledge and land going down a ramp.

What is an appropriate age to start wearing stilettos?

Monday, August 8th, 2011

I’d like to try wearing stilettos, ones that look like this :

http://discounttalk.com.au/stiletto-shoes-discount-online-clearance-sale/

I’d want to get something styled like those, but not the same color. Just something very basic looking.
My main reasons are my height. I’m 5’2”
Other than that, I’d just like to try wearing them and see what it’s like. I know a few girls my age I’ve seen wearing heels that were high because they’re short, one had shoes like these. I adore them and wanted to get some myself, but I’m scared people may say it looks trashy as I’m too young. I’m going into the ninth grade, and if I do purchase shoes like these, I’m thinking of waiting awhile in or until tenth. I’d like some opinions on this. I’m going to wear smaller heels and have so I can get used to them first.
Thank you in advance for your help.

Not at all. They are cute and with the right outfit, can look great! You can dress them up or down. I say go for them. Just keep in mind if your school will have stairs. Haha. Best of luck to you.! Xoxo <3. -A
